Philosophy
First and foremost, it's about teamwork. Because the vineyard is not just me, but our team, the vines, our family and our shared philosophy.
We attach great importance to sustainability, the long-term health of the vines and the soil, and the protection of natural biodiversity.
Promoting a healthy environment for the vines and for us, the people who work in the vineyards, is important to us.
In this sense, we work strictly organically, inspired by agroforestry and regenerative and biodynamic agriculture – and yet far from dogma.
What happens in the vineyards is based on observation and feeling.
Every year, every vineyard, every grapevine is different. We try to respond to that.
The Vineyards

The basis of the labels.
Dalsheimer Bürgel - 1,829m ²
The Dalsheimer Bürgel is a recognized Grand Cru site. Mainly characterized by limestone and clay. The Dalsheimer Bürgel faces east and is therefore one of the coolest sites in the Rheinhessen Wonnegau.
Kriegsheimer Rose Garden - 3,124m²
The Kriegsheimer Rosengarten is a location that has received little attention so far. It is located in the former floodplain of the Pfrimm, a river in the Wonnegau that rises from the Donnersberg. Due to this, the Rosengarten is interspersed with gravel and iron deposits. The Kriegsheimer Rosengarten faces south and heats up more quickly than other locations due to the gravel. This makes it one of the warmer locations.
Untertürkheimer Herzogenberg - 1,500m²
The Untertürkheimer Herzogenberg is a Grand Cru monopoly site. The terroir, located at 280 m above sea level and characterized by gypsum Keuper, is almost unique - just like the 30-year-old Cabernet Franc vines here. The Untertürkheimer Herzogenberg faces southwest and is located in a picturesque valley, surrounded by small forests and gardens.
Euphancholie - Cuvée Rot
Euphancholie is a wine that transcends vintages and grape varieties. The basis is several wines dating back to 2019 from our Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines in our garden - which also forms the basis of the WongAmat label.
Euphancholy is expressed in a special Solera-like
process and only 30% of this cuvée is filled each year.
